Sonic Colors (Ultimate) - Saving Planet Wisp Cutscene Remake
AKA, the cutscene where Sonic says "No copyright law in the universe is going to stop me!". Probably the game's most iconic cutscene as a result of this.
But yea, this is my personal favorite cutscene in the game for that reason alone. Always wanted to re-render it, and I'm glad I finally got to. Same workflow as the previous remake (Wii terrain/aesthetic, PBR materials from Ultimate, Generations Sonic model, etc.) so not much else needs to be said.
Rendered in Blender 4.1 with the Eevee renderer.

Finally managed to get the eye UV-anims to import (meaning I no longer have to copy the values by hand). Other than that, the workflow on this scene was largely the same as the previous ones. I no longer have the mod files, unfortunately. Do want to try and remake this in the future but I don't know if I will or not

Animation is a little stiff at some moments but this is pretty cool
The animations are largely untouched from Colors (did have to manually flip Sonic's mouth when the scene called for it though but that's about it), but BRRES Viewer (the tool I use to rip the animations) has an issue where they kinda judder when ripping them. I know Bluwolf (the head of the SCU Project Re-Rainbow mod) found a better way to rip the game's animations but I've yet to ask them about their method on doing so.
Are those Unleashed models? The whole animation looks awesome too!!
Sonic and Tails use their Generations models; everything else is from Colors

@@ethancat1596 For the most part yea; though I did need to rename the vertex groups on the fur strands between Tails' ears but other than that, a perfect fit.
I've been thinking about this for 69 years too long, but the generators just look like a one-eyed heatran to me(its a pokemon)

@Robowil so this isn't a code mod we still don't know anything about and is too early? Stuff like ground pound butchering dodge for mid air really should've been changed and largely requested a while back if people wasn't constantly ignoring till purple lamp is done with patches. And I just dont know when will it be possible to implement back the old moves?
No code mods involved, this is actually something that can be done in the base game if you time your button presses right I believe code mods should be possible if one has knowledge on how Unreal blueprints work (which I only have extremely basic knowledge on so I can't really do that kind of stuff)

Most of the cutscenes are pre-rendered, while the ones with the avatar are in-engine
